Be A Mentor  | "as I have loved you, love one another." John 13:34

Mentoring is an amazing opportunity to make a profound impact on a woman, a family, and our community. Jesus taught us to show his love through our words and actions and mentoring is a great way to live out this teaching. As a mentor, you are offering a woman a safe place to share, grow, and find hope. Many of the women in our ministry do not have a trusted family member or friend that they can turn to for guidance in making informed decisions, for Biblical advice, or for support.

As a mentor, you are equipping a woman with life skills, modeling Jesus, pouring out love, and helping her to find hope for her future. Mentoring doesn’t require any perfect skill set or experiences, only a heart full of compassion and a willingness to serve.

Mentor Requirements

  • Be a Christian woman involved in a local church

  • Believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and recognize he is our way to salvation

  • Be willing to mentor for one year

  • Attend a mentor orientation and support trainings over the year as offered and submit to a background check (former offenses do not prevent you from mentoring)

  • Submit a brief monthly report to the Director (form provided)

  • Keep the Director informed of needs, concerns and any important issue involving the mentee

  • Be non-judgemental of the decisions your mentee may make even after you have offered guidance

If you would like more information on mentoring, please contact us and put "Mentor Information" in the subject.

Mentor Testimonials

"I can't tell you how much my life has been encouraged by watching my mentee grow and find happiness in life again. It is such a gift to be a part of her life. I am thankful that God placed her in my life and have enjoyed seeing our relationship move from mentoring to friendship over the last year."

"It is an honor to be able to share Christ with J and help her make decisions that will get her on track for a more stable furture."

"I am so proud of the work that Michelle is doing in her life. To be on this journey with her is amazing. God never stops 'wowing' me in how He can use a simple relationship to offer hope to someone who had none and give them a new perspective on life. I am honored He is working through me to make a difference in her life."
